Design & Creative Direction
Whether managing a team or rolling up my sleeves and pushing pixels, I abide by the same rules: make it functional, embody the brand, and make the interactions seamless.

I worked with One Eight Distilling to coalesce the differences between their product lines and the different brand expressions each has. After that, I worked to make them a simple website that showcased those differences and let people know who One Eight really is.

I took short videos of cocktail recipes, created new email templates, and generated an editorial calendar for Shrub District’s social media presence.

An app for the biannual Redken event, drawing thousands of attendees. The app allowed users to interact with each other, post live questions to presenters during panels, and upload their hair portfolio to win prizes. We utilized a few APIs as well as Near-Frequency Communication.

I acted as the creative director, overseeing my team to create the site and merchandise. I also was on scene, directing the photoshoot to generate their assets.

Illustration and design by the fantastic Alice Packard. We took the idea of Red Bear’s mascot, Ursula, and the pride parade. Chaos ensued.

I creative directed my team for one concept, and got my hands dirty on the other. This involved a poster series, t-shirt graphics, and beer glasses.

Entering cove as creative director and UX lead, I helped visually brand the co-working space start-up, developing a design language, voice and tone structure, marketing materials, and the website and app, as well as the physical interaction points in their spaces. This included art directing photoshoots, managing a junior designer, and wearing any other hat that needed a head.

As UX Lead, I worked to combine six disparate sites into one through an entirely new IA and content strategy. I championed a user-first approach, leading persona and journey mapping research, as well as conducting usability studies for internal programs. Through a careful balance of speaking to developers, client stakeholder, and end users, I helped streamline processes and create more usable and accessible digital products.

Complex form structure allowing businesses to drill into deeply specific product families that they offer, which then creates an entry on an internationally used marketplace.

An advertising and PR site for PowerBar’s sponsorship and coverage of the Tour de France. Included a UGC campaign, logo, and writing.
